Welcome to my Practice

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed to practice in the state of California, license number MFC# 77097. I began providing psychotherapy in 2009 and was licensed in 2013. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University with a specialization in Expressive Art Therapy. I am a member of CAMFT, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists as well as EMDRIA, the EMDR International Association. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am currently working towards becoming a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA. In addition to my private practice, I am a Wellness Coordinator for Santa Clara Unified School District, formerly a clinician with the Kaiser Permanente Adolescent IOP program in Santa Clara, a Lead Behavioral Health Clinician for Foothill Community Health Centers of San Jose and the Day Treatment Program Manager for Chamberlain’s Mental Health Services in Gilroy.

My goal is to provide the highest quality psychotherapy to my clients which emphasizes adherence to established legal and ethical standards, creates an atmosphere of safety and comfort, and develops a strong therapeutic alliance. I have chosen to work outside of the managed care system which allows me to provide the highest possible level of confidentiality and privacy for my clients.

I characterize my style as friendly, supportive, empathetic, and direct. I believe my clients are the experts of their own lives, and only through collaboration can we together create a treatment plan which will result in the highest degree of achievement when working towards the goals you identify as important. By adhering to these standards, I feel my clients are often more satisfied with their progress, and meet their goals more quickly than they might otherwise.

If you have questions, or wish to learn more about me or my practice, I welcome the chance to speak with you!
